Hijab meri Pehchan

Hijab day is celebrated on 4rth September around the world. What actually hijab is???? The Quranic verses related to Hijab may give you answer clearly.
"Aey Nabi (S.A.W) momin aurtoon se kehdo k apni nazreen bacha kar rakhein aur apni orhniyaan apne seeno per daal liya karein..Aur apna banao singhaar zahir na karein". (Surah e Noor, ayat no :31)

"Aey Nabi (S.A.W) aehlay emaan ki aurtoon se kehdo k paloo latka liya karein." (Surah e Ahzaab :58)

Hijab day is to promote awareness of hijab among Muslim girls around the world. Basically hijab is an identity  for Muslim girls. It's a beauty for them...Ban on Hijab has always been observe by the Non believers like France, New Zealand, turkey and ban on hijab in fifa are most  prominent faced by Muslims citizens of them.
My question always remain that Why women living in a western society, who are facing threats, penalties and so many other hurdles in the way of following instructions from Allah, but still they are striving for their right to wear hijab according to her religion?? But on the other hand  women living in a Muslim state, who are actually not facing any issue by the government at all...Here at this point they have so many arguments against hijab???
Actually most of us are stereotype at this point, when we say that a girl wearing hijab is not a good girl or men stare them even more than a girl who doesn't wear at all.I mean there are so many school of thoughts against wearing hijab..Here we are biased at some extent...
My concern is to stop stereotyping against Hijab or a girl wearing hijab either you do or not and second another most important point is stop using it for your wrong deeds..The  important point is to keep in our minds that neither Hijab is wrong nor wearing it is wrong..It only depends on the usage..

Heavy Tv viewing of children: A curse or cure

Heavy Tv viewing is becoming a comman activity among future stars...As the matter of fact that heavy tv viewing and playing computer or other video games for long times are growing rapidly among our future stars...Definitely they are not in the age to differentiate between right and wrong..But it is true that these future stars really need the attention of their parents or guardians. It is a big responsibility on the shoulders of their elders to guide them, aware them that heavy tv viewing is not a healthy activity..Tell them about some other creative work. It effects their health as well as their innocent minds..It stops them from creative work...Listening stories from granny or grand paa is also a full of entertainment..There is always a lesson for them..When a child listen or read a story..So here his mind starts imagining things..When he listens about a fairy tale, a monster, an angle or Cinderala...Here his mind starts making a complete picture of it in his imagination...That's a work of healthy mind..Here he uses his most of the senses, while watching tv, his mind enters in the state of rest...complete rest..So it is not a creative way...Social sciences says heavy tv viewing makes a child Desenslized. Watching violent acts can make him to behave aggressively with his younger siblings or in some condition with parents. Similarly The child who sees 10 murders daily in different tv programs may commit a murder once in his life....That sound really very horrible..Watching Tv, playing violent video or computer games are the reason of aggression in child's behavior..     While most of the studies about the influence of Media on children ends with the conclusion that fact of matter is parents should monitor their child...Temporary crankiness a feeling of emptiness can also be observe in children behavior after watching Tv..Parents can play a significant role in making their child future reader..If they tell the story in their spare time or sitting beside while children are going to sleep.... Or encourage them to take interest in books as compare to watching Tv or playing games on computer..That's the way to make them close with books. And they can enjoy as well with fun reading too...American Academy of Pediatrician made a guide line for the doctors to suggest parents of under 2 years child "Pediatrician should urge parents to avoid television viewing for children under the age of two years" (Media Education, Policy statement Aug 1999) Similarly In 1995 APP found out the reason of over weight children is spending most of the time, sitting in front of TV and Computer screen.. APP gave instruction to Pediatrician to suggest parents" T stop their child watching television more than an hour"......It is the time to give most of your attention to your child if you are a parent rather than watching tv or spending your time in your another activities..Parents should observe the activities of their child... Never make a communication gap with your child...treat them like a good and sincere friend of them..Your love and attention along your guide lines will definitely can be seen in their personality...And can help them to become a complete and successful man....

Women's power brings change

The dream of a new home land was not the only vision of men. In fact there were so many names of such great women behind this success which are role models for us. Women who worked step by step in a way of making a new and separate home land for Muslims. In which Begum Rana Liaquat Ali khan, Fatima Ali Jinnah, Bi Aman, Lady Nusrat Haroon, Begum Jahan Ara, Begum Shaista ikramullah were few of them.If we see the history of Pakistan. So we can realize that women worked shoulder to shoulder with men to make the dream of Allama Iqbal come true. They strictly followed Wimple (pardah) and were not enough educated. They didn’t only encourage her sons, husbands and brothers but also organized public meetings for women and addressed them. They also took part in men’s meetings and made speeches before any address to large gatherings. Those women also met with the wives of British officers and made them clear in their vision. They conducted different educational classes at their homes for young Muslims girls in the way of making them well knowledge and enough aware about things so they could take part in bringing up a revolution. Police would use “Lathi Charge”, “Tear gas” and arrest them.
Those women were not political climber, but they wanted to do for upcoming nations. They brought up their children in such manner that they were going to be upcoming leaders for their homeland. They were loyal and patriotic with their vision, which was to bring a separate land where Muslims can live according to their customs and religion.
There were such great hands behind the success of every successful man. A very famous name stills remember with a good name. Moulana Md Ali Johar and Shaukat Ali were the adversity of another a great role model for us. Bi Aman. These brothers were the founder of Aligarh University and did a lot for the promotion of education. Her sons were arrested for a trial, imprisoned for two years. This great women gave message to them that not to ask pardon as it was the condition to release and stick to their vision which leads through independence.
Begum of Md Ali Johar did such remarkable work in the establishment of a muslims state. As she wrote for press. She didn’t only attend men’s meeting but also she got the honour of first women who address men. She was well confident and well cleared in the vision of bring up a new homeland. She addressed large gatherings. Her words were simple but very effective.
Ms Fatima Ali Jinnah, who was the sister of Quaid e Azam Md Ali Jinnah, known as Madre Millat (the mother of nations) did splendid work and now she is a role model for all of us in the movement of Pakistan. As a sister of Quaid e Azam Md Ali Jinnah, she was step by step with her brother. She got worried due to illness of her brother and encorge him.
There are so many women including Begum Rana Liaquat, BegumHaroon and Lady Nusrat Haroon are prominent figures in history of Pakistan. They were not political climber but stongly devoted to their aim.

Pakistan- a heaven for minorities

Pakistan.... as we know, is a diverse society with various ethnic and religious minorities living together....in a peaceful manner....you don't believe me....I will tell you How...Our state religion being Islam made us Muslims, the majority while the left 3% are from different ethnic and religious groups are being counted as minorities. Now in that sector, Afghanis, Christians, Ahmadis, Hindus and Sikhs are much prominent to be precise.
"Ahmadis".....according to 1973 constitution are declared Non Muslims but still, they are a major majority residing among us and Yeah...we do hear slogans of killings each and every one of them but still...we see them living, breathing and going by their day to day chores which defies the idea that all Muslims are Hate mongers and want them dead. Observing clearly...we could see that Ahmadis are holding important positions in our legislature, executives sector, bureaucracy and military since the establishment of Pakistan. Who can forget the great Dr Abdul Salaam, who brought home the Nobel prize.Nobody till now has beaten record of his in Pakistan.
I do agree that yes, we have people who do promote hate against minorities but we cant blame Pakistan alone for this.Minorities in almost all regions of the world continue to face serious threats, discrimination and racism.Plus they are frequently excluded from taking part in economic, political, social and cultural life available to majorities in the country and society where they live. We don't have to go much far for an example...... the country be termed as "Our most favourite" has various example of injustice of minorities...... Irrespective of there religion. The treatment of the Dalit Hindus is not hidden from any body.
In comparison to that Pakistanis minorities are working with us in different walks of  life. They are getting education to.... In fact they are free to move where ever they want to. But there are few terms and conditions which are applied on them like any other states minorities, for example constitution of Pakistan and our religion does not allow them to be the head of state or prime minister but other then that... As Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah said, "You are free to go to temples; you are free to go to your mosques and to any other place." Our minorities are free to celebrate there Holi, Easter, and Besakhi etc. The good part is that the government  also provide them security and privileges..... especially on there religious events and festivals.
But if we compare the minorities living in Pakistan with our neighbouring country India, we can see the big difference. Indian minorities are facing lots of problems in different aspects of life. They are not free to celebrate there customs and traditional things according to there demands. They face different kinds of threats due to just because they follow a certain religion... Ironically India still terms it self a "Secular state"... too bad even for a joke.... Similarly European thinking  is also so partial for their minorities. Muslim girls can't follow Hijab, no Namaz on streets, no beard and the list goes on. If somebody is found convicted to this crime, they have to pay charges and fines. Let's not forget the visa issues which is another major problem for our students who desire to study in abroad. Those poor beings face very disappointing attitude due to racial or religious difference. Robbins Leonard said "How a minority, reaching majority, seizing authority, hates a minority". And man, he is sooo right. But still, apart from the issues faced, we can say Pakistan is like a heaven for minorities as compare to different regions of the world.

EXTORTION IS ON FIRE IN KARACHI

Couple of days ago,President Asif Ali Zardari presided over a meeting on Karachi’s law and order situation on Thursday. The meeting recognized the problem of extortion in Karachi. The president directed Sindh and federal authorities to arrest all those who’re involved in Extortion and other heinous crimes.
MQM, the government collation partner along with the city’s business community have been protesting against increasing incidents of extortion in Karachi. On the direction of President, Interior minister Rehman Malik set up special cell among Law enforcement agencies in collaboration with business sectors to better monitor and handle these observing cases.
Extortion is one of the biggest problems for business communities, who have been facing for several years. In which a group of people demand (Bhatt a) extortion from business communities. And the one who resist paying them according to their demand has to face number of actions from them such as killings, dacoits and kidnapping are major problems. They are considered so strong. According to people they’re belong from different political parties. That’s why they’re moving freely in market as they have complete hold in their respective areas.
But this is observed that this crime is increasing day by day in the metropolitan city. Business communities have been raising their voice against this heinous crime. As it is not considered important by the authorities. These gangs are effective throughout the city. They come and demand about extortion without having any fear in day light. And business men are helpless. They don’t have any option other than giving them according to their demand in the way of saving their lives and property.
As due to inflation and our economic crises, people are already living hand to mouth. So this becomes unbearable effect on their limited income. Government should control this heinous crime to make peaceful environment and in order to give relief ti business sector.

Awareness about Social Media

Before a couple of days, a seminar was conducted by the collaboration of department of Mass communication and few of our class mates about the "Social Media".This lecture was highly appreciated by the students, which was presented by RJ Kulsome and Muhammad Abdullah. It was very informative and over all it was successful too.
As awareness of social media is growing day by day all over the world. The advent of social media brings so many changes in our life. And this media could  possible to bring revolution in Tunisia, where people were facing dictatorship from more than 20yrs.
We came to know by this effective lecture that face book is the 3rd world largest country. While Google is the 1st and you tube is considered the 2nd most using social network according to the statistic of US. And this is face book which is the cause of traffic.
Twitter,Google, Blogging, Facebook and my space etc has now changed the way of our thinking.
We are using Social Media to create events, complain, celebrate, appreciate, mourn and sharing of thoughts etc..
Md Abdullah said rightly that before Face book nobody have asked us "Words on your mind" like face book.:)
According to statistic for Pakistan:
  •       You tube 1st most using search engine in Pakistan. (Social network)
  •       Twitter 9th
  •       Word press 11th
  •       Stumble upon 16th.

Now social media for activism is also using for different kind of fund raising and the welfare of society. But the most important thing is the use of this tool, which we never consider important while using any medium of media before. We should use this for the betterment of society..Not for creating panic and disorder ness. As it is all about to take initiate. How do we do and what? depends on us.But we can do it"

Goddess of Love

A woman becomes loyal, passionate, affectionate and emotional with the one who has a very special place in her heart. That’s what made her very royal and noble among other creations. Her feelings of love cannot be described in words as she wants to associate her whole life with some one who is very dear to her. For that, she acts a bit selfish as well because she knows the importance of love in her life. Although women are considered from the planet Venus and men are from Mars but the love between them eliminate their differences as the two agreed to share their sorrows and happiness with each other.
The goddess of love was known as Venus in Roman mythology .The symbols associated with planet Venus are of rose, palm and apple which deals with love, desire, affection, attraction and harmony. It is the combination of circle and cross having two characteristics i.e. spiritual and material. According to astrology, Venus has a dual relationship with Taurus and Libra and is their planetary ruler as well, that’s why it is associated with two important aspects of life, love and money. Love is all about pleasure shared with someone else but money reflects the materialistic and selfish side of it. When Venus is prevalent in a person’s chart or the current astrological outlook, they receive extra gifts in their appearance and attractiveness which extends to people as well as to their financial outlook.
Aphrodite was the goddess of love in Greek mythology and was associated with love, beauty and fertility. She was loyal to Adonis who was her inamorata. Her love for him was extremely passionate and flamed as she used to spend the entire day hunting with him. Due to her attractive looks and beauty, many Gods loved her and in their jealousy with Adonis, they disrupted the peace among themselves and even instigated a war.
Love and beauty with which Aphrodite associates has power to attract others as we all know that love is one of the human emotions which have enough strength to make someone travel to unimaginable territories. Devotion and sacrifice are other words which describes love and in keeping with that, Aphrodite also made her love her moxie and fortitude. That is exactly how love can make a women powerful or a weakling among others.
As they say that love is a powerful emotion with the ability to bring even the Gods to their knees and indeed that’s exactly what happened with Aphrodite when Adonis was killed by a boar. A beautiful scented flower, Anemone grew from his blood as Aphrodite grieved and cried over her beloved lifeless body.
Love is the most powerful motivation in the world. It spurs mortals to greatness and their bravest act are done for love. The goddess gave a message to those who worshipped her that love requires sacrifices beyond our expectations. She bestowed her feelings on those who worshipped her but she was merciless who contemn love. The message of her will always be kept  in the memories of Roman as many of their festivals are based upon her.
