EXTORTION IS ON FIRE IN KARACHI

Couple of days ago,President Asif Ali Zardari presided over a meeting on Karachi’s law and order situation on Thursday. The meeting recognized the problem of extortion in Karachi. The president directed Sindh and federal authorities to arrest all those who’re involved in Extortion and other heinous crimes.
MQM, the government collation partner along with the city’s business community have been protesting against increasing incidents of extortion in Karachi. On the direction of President, Interior minister Rehman Malik set up special cell among Law enforcement agencies in collaboration with business sectors to better monitor and handle these observing cases.
Extortion is one of the biggest problems for business communities, who have been facing for several years. In which a group of people demand (Bhatt a) extortion from business communities. And the one who resist paying them according to their demand has to face number of actions from them such as killings, dacoits and kidnapping are major problems. They are considered so strong. According to people they’re belong from different political parties. That’s why they’re moving freely in market as they have complete hold in their respective areas.
But this is observed that this crime is increasing day by day in the metropolitan city. Business communities have been raising their voice against this heinous crime. As it is not considered important by the authorities. These gangs are effective throughout the city. They come and demand about extortion without having any fear in day light. And business men are helpless. They don’t have any option other than giving them according to their demand in the way of saving their lives and property.
As due to inflation and our economic crises, people are already living hand to mouth. So this becomes unbearable effect on their limited income. Government should control this heinous crime to make peaceful environment and in order to give relief ti business sector.
